Co-main event

The co-main event featured an undefeated welterweight clash between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Machado Garry. Rakhmonov maintained his perfect record with a unanimous decision victory, with all three judges scoring the bout 48-47.

The fight was actually notable for a unique incident where Garry had to change his shorts between rounds due to a wardrobe malfunction, marking a first in UFC history.

Rakhmonov's win positions him as a leading contender for the welterweight title, potentially setting up a bout with current champion Belal Muhammad.

The decision was close as reflected below.

Other key fights

  • Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volker: In a closely contested heavyweight bout, Ciryl Gane edged out Alexander Volkov via split decision. The judges scored the fight 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28 in Gane's favor, though the decision was met with some controversy.

  • Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie: Bryce Mitchell secured a third-round knockout over Kron Gracie with a powerful elbow at 0:39, enhancing his reputation in the featherweight division.

  • Movsar Evloev vs. Aljamain Sterling: Movsar Evloev remained undefeated with a unanimous decision victory over former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, with all judges scoring the bout 29-28.

Fighter reactions

Some fighters have already commented on the main event result. Aljamein Sterling said this:

Cejud also posted a short statement:

Demetrious Johnson - who was called out by the main event winner - responded on his Youtube channel, and denied the request to come out of retirement:

What's next?

UFC 310 set the stage for several new intriguing future matchups. Shavkat Rakhmonov's victory certainly solidifies his claim for a welterweight title shot against Belal Muhammad (who was originally slated to fight Rakhmonov but withdrew due to a bone infection). A post-fight faceoff between Rakhmonov and Muhammad, despite crowd boos, heightened anticipation for their eventual clash.

Further, Alexandre Pantoja's dominant defense could maybe open the door for potential bouts against top contenders or the much-discussed matchup with Demetrious Johnson - should he come out of retirement.

Ciryl Gane's narrow victory keeps him in the heavyweight division for now, still maintaining a solid record of 13 wins and only 2 losses.
